What is Sensory disorder?
There has been a lot of talk about the term "Sensory Disorder." What is it? Does my child have it? Have you found yourself asking these questions: Something is not right... Something is different... Why does he/she do that... I'm at a loss... How do I understand and help my child... Why is everyone telling me it is my fault and to stop letting him/her control me... I'm exhausted!" Your child may have sensory disorder we found a very helpful website that provides a lot of information on the condition.

Literacy Institute for Edmonds School District
We had a great time at the Literacy Institute put on by the Edmonds School District today! We are so excited to be involved in our preschool/pre-k community and implenting all these new resources and tools on literacy at LPW! Look for new things to come!
Gates Foundation
Once again, our school will be involved with the Gates Foundation Literacy Program with the Edmonds School District. The Edmonds School District got another grant for another two years to boost literacy throughout the primary schools including the community preschools and daycares. We are so excited to be involved with our local leaders in this project. Our management and preschool/pre-k teachers will be involved with the program starting in August getting ready for the new fall school year. We are able to go to each elementary that our schools work with and meet the teachers and get on the same plan for encouraging this literacy program. If you have any questions, please see Shawn or Katie!
