Free Children's Concert Thursday May 27th, 5:30pm

Free concert at the Lynnwood LPW, featuring the "Recess Monkeys". Come join us for fun and entertainment as we rock out to Seattle's most popular children's band. Songs include Ice Pack, Marshmallow Farm and I got a toy (but I played with the box).

Getting School Ready, by Mrs. Shawn
One of my goals as a teacher and now the General Manager of LPW was to bring a connection between our preschools and kindergarten. I'm excited to say that I am a representative for LPW at the "Getting School Ready" in North Shore School District and also in the Edmonds School District. Both programs are different in ways, but my passion and the main goals are to improve school readiness and support successful transitions of children and their families into kindergarten. LPW will gain even more ways to educate & support parents/families, childcare providers, early educators in carrying out simple, everyday activities to promote early childhood literacy & developmentally appropriate early learning and prepare your children for smooth transition into kindergarten

Thank you Boeing & Child Project
The Kirkland and Bellevue centers are currently participating in a program called "Social and Emotional" Boeing project .Our directors and staff are participating in trainings and meetings with Childcare Resources. The primary focus of this Program is the "Social and Emotional" aspect of providing care to all diverse families. Their goal and ours for this project is for childcare centers not to be looked at as "just" providers but also as a comfortable resources for families to go to when they may be in need. This opportunity gave Lil' People's World more resources to provide both the children and parent's with more educational literacy resources and DVD's, as well as new supplies and equipment to enhance our children's learning and development.
