Lil' People's World
Surfs Up: Check Out Our Sizzlin' Summer Plans!
Summer is fast approaching, and with all the sun and warmth upon us, it’s a great time to get outside and enjoy the season. With so many wonderful things to do in the Pacific Northwest, there’s never a shortage of both indoor and outdoor activities. Each of our daycare and preschool centers will set up individualized engaging activities — not only for the school-age classrooms but also much of our center. Summer just can’t come fast enough!
Summer Plans for Our Seattle Preschool

Seattle Lil’ People’s World will be offering several activities that are both stimulating and educational. “There are only 18 summers in childhood. How will you make this one count?” says Miss Jenee, the Director, who is ready to get the ball rolling.
We get to see many of the children’s and staff’s favorite presenters — from Bubbles the Clown to Alpha Martial Arts classes. The calendar fills up quick when it comes to summer fun!
Not only does Seattle invite fun to the center, but they get to explore off-site with walking trips to Northacres Park. About a 6-minute walk from our Seattle center, Northacres Park offers an elaborate play structure, trails, and an interactive water spray area. The children always have a blast setting up camp and spending the day exploring nature.
Bellevue Preschool Summer Plans

Our Bellevue location, which sits atop East Bellevue, has wonderful and creative activities lined up for the summer program. Bubbles the Clown will be coming to visit this year, a treasured tradition for more than 20 years. Science is also on tap for this year, with special visitors from art and dance to marine biology activities.
The Teddy Bear Clinic will be making a visit to the east side, offering an opportunity for children to bring in their own teddies for a checkup. This activity helps to reduce fear and lower anxiety about doctor’s office trips.

Miss Brit and Miss Nani offer some words of wisdom about their upcoming summer experiences. “Summer is the perfect time to get outside, explore new places, and try new things,” Miss Brit says. “We look forward to creating new memories!”
Miss Nani concurs: “I hope this summer will be filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and fun. Let’s make the most of it together!” Wow, we are all ready for summer to get started. Wow, we are all ready for summer to get started.
Summer Fun at Our Kirkland Daycare
Lil’ People’s World Kirkland is gearing up for the best summer ever. We have quite a fondness for adventure and exploration, and we can’t wait for the summer to bring a whole lot of it!
This year, we have The Reptile Lady lined up to share some of the most spectacular engagements kids dream of. Last year, we had a blast with sensory, fine motor, and scaly interactions. It was truly the best, and we don’t expect anything less this year.
We also have scheduled “Raptor Events” to visit our Kirkland location on August 10. This program offers interactions and educational opportunities for all ages to experience birds of prey in a controlled environment. This will be a wonderful opportunity for children to get outside and see real wild birds on the move while also learning socialization skills.
Miss Bobbie, the Supervising Director, who is thrilled to be a part of these interactions and a part of all the positive and educational learning that is so important for emotional and cognitive growth says:
“Summer is a critical part of our year, it is a time for rest, relaxation, exploration, and an essential portion of our health that often gets overlooked, vitamin D! For me, my summers made some of the most positive memories in my childhood, and I intend to continue this — not only for my own children but for all our little learners here.” -Miss Bobbie
We are excited about some of the upcoming all-center events as well, and we hope that all our families will be able to join us in these memories.
On June 23, we will be holding each of our centers’ Family BBQs. This will be a time to come and enjoy the weather as well as give you a chance to mingle and socialize.
On August 25 at our center-wide closure, we will hold an open house at each preschool for parents to engage with the classroom environment and all the teachers.
Thank you to all the families who are able to donate their time and talent to our program!
