Why Choose a Summer Preschool Program?

Summer is more than a break from routine. In fact, it offers a fresh chance to explore and grow. Young children love learning when it feels like play.

Moreover, a structured program supports healthy development during the long summer days. Children stay curious, active, and socially connected. Meanwhile, parents enjoy peace of mind at work or home.

Learning Never Stops in Summer

Research shows children benefit from consistent, engaging routines. For example, hands-on activities strengthen language, motor, and social skills. Because of this, summer becomes a season of steady growth.

Our play-based approach keeps children excited to learn. First, teachers plan themed activities. Then, children explore at their own pace. As a result, learning feels natural and fun.

What to Expect From Our Summer Preschool Program

Our summer preschool program blends structure with freedom. Children explore new themes each week. Meanwhile, they build friendships and practice important skills.

We design every day around active, meaningful play. Additionally, our teachers adapt activities to each child’s stage. Therefore, every child feels included and supported.

Sample Summer Activities

Summer invites creativity and outdoor fun. For example, children might enjoy the following experiences:

  • Water play to cool off on warm days
  • Nature walks to explore local plants and bugs
  • Art projects that spark imagination
  • Music and movement to build coordination
  • Story time to grow early literacy

Each activity supports overall child development. Moreover, children learn to share, take turns, and solve problems. These skills last well beyond summer.

Building Social Confidence

Social skills grow best through play with peers. First, children learn to communicate their needs. Next, they practice empathy and cooperation.

Our teachers gently guide these moments every day. As a result, children become kinder and more confident. This foundation prepares them for kindergarten and beyond.

How Summer Programs Support School Readiness

Kindergarten readiness starts long before the first day of school. Therefore, summer offers valuable preparation time. Children build routines, focus, and independence.

Our pre-school and pre-kindergarten activities feel playful, not stressful. Additionally, we focus on curiosity rather than pressure. Because of this, children stay eager to learn.

Skills Children Practice

Summer activities strengthen many early skills. For example, children may work on the following:

  • Recognizing letters and numbers through games
  • Following simple, multi-step directions
  • Managing feelings and building patience
  • Developing fine motor skills with crafts
  • Practicing teamwork with new friends

These experiences build a strong learning foundation. Moreover, they help children feel ready and excited. You can learn more about developmentally appropriate practice from the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Pre-School Curriculum

We use a teaching strategy called “Creative Curriculum,” when educating our Pre-Schoolers. Creative Curriculum primarily focuses on:

Creative Curriculum for preschool is a comprehensive, science based, early childhood education curriculum that has demonstrated through studies to have a positive impact on the quality of the child’s classroom conduct, as well as improvements to cognitive and social-emotional development.

Creative Curriculum promotes positive physical, social, and cognitive outcomes for children through a variety of activities including fine motor, large motor, sensory, art, dramatic play, and science activities.

Toddler Curriculum

We use a teaching strategy called, “Creative Curriculum,” when educating our Toddlers. Creative Curriculum primarily focuses on:

The goal of our toddler curriculum is to help children develop both their body and their minds in a safe and healthy place. These early, positive interactions with caring adults can give young children the confidence they need to explore their surroundings and take joy in their day-to-day discoveries.

Examples of their day-to-day activities can be found in the weekly sample schedule included below.

Infant Curriculum

Our daily infant curriculum is broken up into four categories of development:

01
Physical Experience
To assure our infants reach their appropriate physical development milestones, we employ our Physical Experiences curriculum. Physical Experiences utilizes motor activities that focus on both large and small muscle development.
02
Listening and Talking Experience
Before the age of one, infants are learning to understand the things that we are saying. For this reason, we provide a Listening and Talking Experience, which includes reading books, singing songs, and talking about the surroundings to aid in their communication development.
03
Creative Experience
Creative Experience allows infants to explore the many beauties that arts and crafts expose our minds to. The process of ‘art with infants’ enables our children to explore and experiment with different smells, textures, and artistic tools as a means of facilitating an early understanding of creative thought and design.
04
Learning From the World
Learning from the World introduces the infant to the world around us, allowing us to aid in their sensory development within a free, yet controlled environment. Examples of these activities can be found in the weekly sample schedule included below.
